Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You…
Do you believe the eyes are the window into the soul? If so, then you’ll probably agree that it’s a lot easier to have a fun conversation with someone new after you’ve spent few moments looking into his or her peepers. That is the simple idea behind Eye Gazing Parties. Banal chit-chat about employment status, the location of your apartment, or where you’re from is NOT a great way to spark a captivating connection with an alluring new person. Eye contact IS.

Who goes to Eye Gazing Parties?
Fun, adventurous, attractive, creative, intriguing, outgoing, confident and vibrant singles in their 20s-40s who have a fun time quickly establishing amazing connections with each other. (This particular eye gazing party event is for men looking for women and women looking for men. Other events to come.)

How does it work?
An even number of singles meet in a warm, attractive space with hip world beats. After a fun mini-lesson in the art of eye contact, the group splits into pairs, and each pair spends two minutes looking into each other’s eyes, no talking, with inviting beats in the background. The pairs switch up every two minutes, for a total of around half an hour. Then there is mingling afterwards, with cookies and tea flowing and fun music. The eye gazing has an electrifying effect on the party; simply put, two minutes of eye contact is the Cadillac of ice-breakers. Come try out the exciting new way to meet singles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Two minutes of direct eye contact with a complete stranger. Isn’t that intense?
Yes. And it’s also a lot of fun. In fact, it will be much more fun than answering questions like “Where do you work?” and “Where are you from?” That’s the whole point. So much singles chatter induces sleep rapidly. Eye Gazing Parties exist to bring something fresh, frisky and risky into the singles scene.

How many people will I gaze with?
Each gaze lasts for two minutes and you typically gaze with 15 new singles in a night.

Why eye contact?
Eye contact is, hands down the single best way to establish a meaningful connection with a new person in a short amount of time. It gets quickly past the surface layer social roles that we often put up in interacting with one another.

How it all started
Eye Gazing Parties (eyegazingparties.com) were founded by Michael Ellsberg in NYC in 2005, and have been covered by the New York Times, CNN, Good Morning America, and major media around the world. People who attend them report having profound experiences with many new and exciting people at each event.

Folks, it’s an AMAZING experience! I’ve been through it a month ago and all the people loved it. I’ve never seen singles exchanging numbers in such an easy-going way and with so many people as after the eye gazing party. I’m sure, it’s gonna be a great party, Jeffrey!
